Bristol Review 1:
"The Bristol Hotel Gibraltar is, like everywhere else, close to just about everything in Gibraltar. The hotel is older, but is well
kept, and has a unique nostalgia to it.
My room was sufficient and included a refrigerator. I had no complaints after being holed up in it for a couple of days
after spraining my ankle exploring the Mediterranean steps.
The view out the window had a bit of the Rock, although it was generously shared by the surrounding buildings. Not the
fanciest of places, but far from being a bad one." - 19/05/05
Bristol Hotel Gibraltar Review 2:
"What a dump. I stayed there a few days ago and have come home with flea bites over my arms and face. The room was small,
clostrophobic, hot and dirty.
The air conditioning unit was so noisy that it could not be left on over night and therefore the room as very hot. The
view of the brick wall was inspiring.
The bed was terrific with the plastic cover over the matress and therefore you stuck to it!
Would I ever go near the place again - what do you think! A guest house in Scarborough would have been cleaner and
nicer." - 13/05/05
Bristol Hotel Gibraltar Review 3:
"Stayed ere for 3 nights at the beginning of July. The hotel has a great lobby/reception area, also a nice pool & bar
area across the road from the main hotel.
The location is ideal, but unforunately the Bristol Hotel Gibraltar rooms were dreadful - dreary, in need of redecoration (not
been decorated for at least 30 years, I would say, with wallpaper hanging off the wall and fittings poor & cheap).
OK or a budget hotel, but at £64 per room minimum, it hardly fits into this category. You can see that this was a classy
hotel in the past (early 20th century) but it doesn't justify the cost today." - 18/07/04
